A short talk with American Thrash Metal Band MONOLITH's" front man and bassist SEAN PACE.



        
   i. Why you went with the name "Monolith"?
-It kind of came up at one of the practices we had earlier in the bands life and kind of stuck

             ii. When and how you started?
-Started in the beginnings of high school with Dave and Kris jamming together and then JP came into the picture and a year after that I (Sean) came into the fold.
 
            iii.What is music to you and how you define metal?
- Music is Art. Plain and simple, This (Metal) for us is just a Passionate way for us to convey our means that can sometimes come out aggressive

            iv. What are your achievements, favorites and influences? *answer in 3 part
A) We opened up a one of the shows on Destruction’s (Germany) 30th Anniversary Tour, as well as going out on our first tour.
B) there are so many favorites for all of us, to much to put on paper.
C) The band as one is highly influenced by Jason Becker, the Big 4, PanterA, TestAmenT,  but other personal influences are Iron Maiden, Exodus, Dream Theater, Behemoth,  Steve Vai, Racer X, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Van Halen, The list goes on and on.
 
            v. What aims have you set as a band in future?
-We really wanna hit the point where we can go and tour over seas, Europe, Asia, Middle East. that's one of the biggest goals for us to achieve.
 
            vi. What is the band planning for 2013? Any new songs/releases?
-2013 will be really busy, we are releasing our Debut Album which is yet to be named, and we will be hitting the road as well to support it and a few other surprises that we cant release just yet.

            vii.What is the ideology that the band follows/believes?
-Work Hard, Play Hard. We want to make the metal we like to listen more prevalent and take it a step further.
            viii. What is your biggest achievement according to you?
- I think the biggest achievement we have is to be in a band that is a Democracy, no 1 leader, and everyone has a say.

            ix. What were the best and the worst experiences so far as a band?
-The best is being able to do this and have fans who know our songs, the Worst is that this is still the beginning stages of what we want to do, we are on step 1 of however many there are.
            x. What are your influences that result in creating what you create?
-All of us being so drastically different in play styles by just being the individuals that we are. All of us add something  different to the verbal table.

            xi. Who write the lyrics for the songs in the band?
-We all write lyrics, its a group process.
 
            xii. Do tell the inspiration behind your own songs?
-They differ from song to song, either life events, things we have read, historical events.

            xiii. What are you doing these days?
-We are playing shows staying active waiting to release out CD.

            xiv. In general term metal isn't appreciated by Society what do you have to say on this?
-Society accepts the reality of the world of which is presented.

            xv. Is it hard surviving in underground Scene?
-We thrive, we do the best we can to do more than survive.

            xvi. Anything you would like to say to the fans out there?
